Description: Works for and in relationship with the trade association’s elected officers and Board of Trustees; coordinates with chairs and members of twelve committees. Administers organizational functions including staff management; finance and budgets; convention planning, vendor negotiation, on-site management and sponsorship procurement; maintains organization records; fulfills government reporting/filing requirements; organizes and directs government relations; compiles and publishes domestic industry reports and crop statistics; engages in membership interactions and local area visits; networks with general produce industry leadership; monitors international trade and develops global onion relationships; tracks onion industry challenges, as well as onion industry opportunities, for potential action processes with association leadership and the general membership.
Essential requirements of this position include the ability to multi-task in office & at remote locations, screen/analyze multiple sources of information, write/submit/distribute reports, build & maintain broad-based personal relationships, and to hold privileged personal & business information confidential.
