In February 2013, Bo Herndon was on the cover of Onion World. As owner of Herndon Farms, he was very proud of his Vidalia Onions. Though the crop was only about one-seventh of his total cultivated acreage, he took pride in the crop. “Vidalia can only be grown in a 16-county area, and we in Toombs County are right at the center of Vidalia County,” He said.
