The first report is out for the year for Southern New Mexico. For the onions that were available at this time last year, prices debuted at an average of $5.42 over last year. This strong start is indicative of this year’s fantastic market everywhere.
The Lower Rio Grande Valley is about out of onions (with very light demand), and this is the last report of their season.
