The Pesticide Policy Coalition, of which the NOA is a member, sent this letter urging the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to relax its regulations on carrier traffic in their quest to deliver timely goods to America’s farmers.
Specifically, the letter urges the expansion and extension of hours-of-service relief by specifically including all “farm supplies” as defined under the hours-of-service (HOS) regulations. The letter also requests all farm supplies such as pesticides and seeds also be covered under the HOS national emergency declaration.
