San Joaquin Valley, Calif. is no longer shipping onions, leaving just four shipping points on this report.
Peruvian imports shipping from the East coast are moving at $24 – a full 3 bucks over last year. Medium yellows from Idaho and Malheur County, Oregon are also strong, coming in at $2 over 2019.
Columbia Basin onions have been dropping in value since they were released a couple weeks ago, averaging $7.68. The August 10th average was $8.50 for yellows and reds.
Wall Walla prices continue strong. The $21 average price has not fluctuated at all this season.
