Onion Shipping Point Prices for November 30, 2020
Onion demand has softened a bit after Thanksgiving. Moderate and above a two weeks ago, Peru, Central Wisconsin and New York are showing only light demand. The PNW, Idaho and Malheur and Michigan are still moderate.
Prices are steady throughout all regions, with only New York reds slipping at all in the last couple weeks, down $1 from last week.
In 2019 at this time, Peruvian imports packed on the east coast were starting to drop. They are very steady this year at $24, and now a full $6 over ’19.
