Onion Shipping Point Prices for August 9, 2021
The new onion crop from Columbia Basin, Wash. and Umatilla Basin, Ore. started shipping last week, and prices are generally up from 2020. Only yellow mediums are lower.
Idaho and Malheur County, Ore. just started shipping, with light supply and moderate demand. Like their northern neighbors, medium yellows are off from last year, down $3.50 per sack.
Supply is also light in Southern New Mexico and Vidalia and both areas will probably drop off our next bi-monthly report.
