Onion Shipping Point Prices for September 7, 2021
Central Wisconsin has started to ship yellow onions with an average price $2.44 over 2020. Meanwhile, southern U.S. onions have run out in Vidalia, Georgia, and San Joaquin Valley, California. However, San Joaquin has super colossal yellows showing up on our chart for the first time this year at $11 per 50 lb. sack.
The supply of organic onions is gone in Vidalia, Georgia, but their conventional sweets remain steady with a moderate demand. Vidalia was completely out of onions this time last year.
Idaho and Malheur, County, Ore. are killing it compared to 2020. If you toss out weak-performing medium yellows, the average price has increased $4.57 from last year.
