Onion Shipping Point Prices for February 21, 2023
It’s impossible to say if onion prices have fully bottomed out, but we are seeing some signs that may be the case, even though demand in most shipping areas is only moderate or less. Demand in New York is fairly good.
In Idaho & Malheur County, Oregon, prices continued to dip lower, but in the other areas, prices have been fairly stable the last two weeks.
Mexico crossings through South Texas are down an astounding $13 on average from the crazy-high prices of last year, but are actually up from 2021 by $3.50 on average.
