Good demand in the Idaho and Malheur County, Oregon shipping point area brought an increase in the price of yellow onions in the last week. The yellows are up a buck on average and up $1.12 on average in the last two weeks.
Medium whites and reds from the area are also up in the last week and yellow mediums are up modestly over last year. It’s the first time this season any yellow price from the Treasure Valley has caught up to 2022.
Larger yellows from the Columbia Basin also had an increase in the last week. Though it was small, it’s nice to see prices going up as Thanksgiving nears.
