Key Technology has rolled out its new Compass optical sorter suitable for processing lines handling food products including onions. Powered by next-generation inspection technology and a new sort engine, the machine is designed to accurately separate foreign material from the line, in addition to sorting the specific product defects each processor wants to manage.
Compass is offered in a configurable range of system types and sizes to meet individual customer requirements. Key is first introducing chute-fed Compass models, to be followed by belt-fed variants of the sorter.
