Onion Shipping Point Prices For March 4, 2024
There were only three onion price changes in the last week. The market is steady in all shipping areas and prices remain way up from 2023 at this time.
Comparing year-to-year, it is striking how few options there are this year versus last. Last year, Michigan and Wisconsin had yellow onions, but none are shipping now.
In 2023, there were nine different colors and sizes of Mexican onions crossing through South Texas. This year there is just one – sweet yellows, which are $17 higher than ’23.
