Onion Shipping Point Prices For May 13, 2024
Three areas ran out of onions last week; Columbia Basin, Washington & Umatilla Basin, Oregon, Mexico Crossings Through South Texas and Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas.
This leaves only Vidalia and Imperial Valley, California currently shipping, both with just moderate demand. The reds from California are up over 2023 by $17.75 on average.
Southern New Mexico should start shipping within a month.
