Onion Shipping Point Prices For May 28, 2024
Southern New Mexico has started shipping onions this week, a couple weeks ahead of last year. Only yellows and reds are available from the area presently. We’ll have the data in a couple weeks, but expect these prices to be ahead of last year, modestly for yellows but significantly for reds, which are $25.75 now.
Red prices from Imperial Valley, Calif. are still way ahead of 2023, up $15.50 on average. They have been dropping in the last month, however, down $3.
