Onion Shipping Point Prices For July 8, 2024
San Joaquin Valley, Calif. ran out of super colossal yellows and saw the remaining three yellow sizes fall in price $1.58 on average since our last report. Reds from the area also took a tumble, down $3.75 on average. The good news for California’s Central Valley is whites jumped $3.75 on average, offsetting the fall from reds.
Prices in Southern New Mexico also saw this up and down effect in the last week, with only medium yellows staying unchanged.
Like the New Mexican medium yellows, Walla Walla and Vidalia also remain steady, as expected. Prices on the two specialty sweets don’t waver much.
