Onion Shipping Point Prices for April 14, 2025
All onion shipping areas recorded a “market steady” in this report except for New York, which was “about steady.” Market demand has been fluctuating since February, but we have seen a lot of “market lower” entries and corresponding lower prices.
As an example of this, Mexico crossings through South Texas are up in the last two weeks, but down from their debut on March 3. Whites from the area have dropped $5 on average in six weeks.
We’re hoping the steadying market is a sign prices will start inching upward.
