The Washington State University Extension (WSU) Onion Field Day, hosted by AgriNorthwest, is set for August 27, 2026.
The 2026 WSU Onion Field Day will be held at the site of the 2026 WSU Onion Cultivar Trial (driving directions below). This year’s trial is in a center-pivot-irrigated onion field near Plymouth, WA, managed by AgriNorthwest. Field day participants will be able to examine the 45 trial entries. There will also be brief presentations from WSU onion researchers and extension specialists. A BBQ luncheon will be served at noon.
Starting from US-395 in Kennewick, WA.
Head south and take the I-82 E / US-395 S ramp toward Umatilla/Pendleton, and continue for 1.7 miles.
Take exit 114 and turn right (west) onto Locust Grove Rd. Continue for 9.4 miles. Turn left (south) onto S Plymouth Rd. and continue for 6.4 miles.
Turn left (east) onto the field road. Watch for signs to the WSU Onion Field Day.
If you reach the AgriNorthwest Central Shop, you’ve gone about 1 mile too far south.
