Onion Shipping Point Prices for October 27, 2025
The federal government of the United States shut down on October 1, but the Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) is still working, outputting their critical reports nearly a month later. Classified as “Excepted to Protect Life and Property,” AMS employees are not getting paid during the shutdown, but are entitled to receive all back pay once the shutdown is over.
Unfortunately, the report of October 27 didn’t bring any good news. Already low prices were unchanged over the last week and have dropped in the last month. Demand, once moderate everywhere, is now fairly light in all areas except Peru Imports packed on the East Coast.
