Onion Shipping Point Prices for Jan. 10, 2022
A transportation shortage has curtailed shipping in PNW, Idaho/ Malheur County, Ore. and Central Wisconsin. Wisconsin shipping is also hampered by cold weather.
Demand has increased in most areas from our last report, bringing some prices with it. Peruvian imports went from “moderate” demand to “fairly good,” and the price rose fifty cents.
All prices have gone up in Idaho/Malheur, lead by yellow super colossals, yellow jumbos and red jumbos – all up $1.50 in the last two weeks. The super colossals are up $14 from 2021.
