Onion Shipping Point Prices for March 7, 2022
Jumbo yellow sweet onions from Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas, are now shipping at $31. This price is up $13 from last year.
Also new to our report are super colossal onions from Mexico crossing through South Texas. These yellows debuted at $32. Supers from this area were not available last year. Whites and reds from Mexico took a tumble, with mediums whites dropping $10 in the last week.
In Idaho and Malheur County, Oregon, white onions fell off the chart, but a couple varieties posted small gains.
