The Columbia Basin, Washington and Umatilla Basin, Oregon and Mexico Crossings Through South Texas shipping areas have run out of onions. The only whites that remain are shipping from Imperial Valley, California, but despite the scarcity are down an average of $2.25 from May 2.
Vidalia onions are in light demand, but the market remains steady and prices strong.
Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas medium reds lost $2 in the last week.
