Onion Shipping Point Prices for August 8, 2022
Onions out of the PNW started shipping August 1. Whites were available at this time last year, but only jumbos and mediums in yellow and red are available now. With only moderate demand, prices dropped on the four available varieties by an average of $1.88 in one week.
In Southern New Mexico, white onion prices have been steadily increasing since their debut in mid-June, except for one small set-back. They have gone up $7.50 on average in that span.
Vidalia, Georgia has run out of organic product, but is still shipping sweets. The organics held strong through their run, starting at $33 and ending at $32.50.
