San Joaquin Valley, California has run out of onions but Idaho & Malheur County, Oregon has rolled up to pick up the slack. And the Treasure Valley has come in solidly, shipping all three colors of onions.
Whites were not available at this time last year from Treasure Valley, but they typically shipped around $14 in September 2023. This year’s average is $22.75, a nice increase.
Reds have also been strong everywhere this year, so it’s no surprise that they are up $4.75 from last year.
