Onion Shipping Point Prices for June 23, 2025
The San Joaquin Valley, Calif. and Walla Walla, Washington onion growing areas started shipping last week. This is good timing, because after a long run that was two months or so longer than normal, the PNW storage crop has been depleted.
Walla Walla Sweets debuted 50 cents more than last year, an accomplishment and rarity in the current market.
As the chart below shows, San Joaquin was a different story, off significantly from 2024 and even taking a throat punch in the last week.
