Onion Shipping Point Prices for November 16, 2020

Onion demand has been moderate in all markets since early October. This week, Central Wisconsin reports good demand and New York has fairly good demand. The increased demand didn’t move the needle in Wisconsin, but New York yellows and reds got a bump of 50 cents from two weeks ago.

In the Columbia Basin and Umatilla Basin, red-hot whites dropped 50 cents from last week, but are still $4 over 2019 at this time.

Peruvian imports still lead our chart in price, debuting at $24 on August 10 and never wavering. Price over last year has moved, however, and this week is the highest it has been this year, up $5.50 from 2019.
