Onion Shipping Point Prices for November 14, 2022
In the last week, onion shipping point prices have stabilized, not changing at all. Demand ranges from moderate to good.
There are not many changes since our last report on Halloween, either. In Idaho and Malheur County, Oregon, yellow super colossals and medium whites dropped a dollar each since Oct. 31, but medium yellows from Michigan posted a dollar gain.
The red onion market is soft compared to 2021, down around $5 in Idaho and the Columbia Basin. In New York, this year’s average price of jumbo and medium reds is $12.75, almost half what it was in November 2021.
