Onion Shipping Point Prices for March 20, 2023
Michigan and New York have run out of the onions for the season and the Columbia Basin is out of whites, but the Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas shipping area has stepped in to fill some of the void.
The Texas area is already shipping three sizes of yellows and yellow Granos marked as sweet. Only the sweets were available at this time last year. The 2023 sweets debuted $6 less than 2022.
Vidalias will be shipping in about a month.
