Onions from the Empire State starting shipping last week with good demand and good quality. 50 pound sacks of yellow jumbos are mostly $11.50, down $7 from last year when white and yellow prices were raging.
The “good” demand in New York is unfortunately an outlier, as all other shipping areas are only posting “moderate” demand. Overall, prices were fairly consistent in the last week.
