Onion Shipping Point Prices For Jan. 22, 2024
White onions have run out in the Idaho and Malheur County, Oregon shipping area. Consequently, the only whites on our chart, shipping from the Columbia Basin, Wash., jumped in price $6.50 in the last two weeks. This is an average of $30 more than 2023 at this time.
Mexican onions have started crossing through South Texas, but only yellows marked sweet and only in light supply. The sweets were not available at this time last year, but they debuted a couple weeks later at $18.50, $7 less than this year.
