Onion Shipping Point Prices For Feb. 5, 2024
Since our last report two weeks ago, onion prices have climbed even higher than the seemingly impossible levels that they were. All onion prices on the chart below are either the same as they were on January 29 or higher.
Yellows in Columbia Basin, Washington & Umatilla Basin, Oregon are up $2.50 on average since January 22, making them up an average of $7.25 over 2023 prices. Whites in this area are off the hook, at $55. They have gone up $10 in the last two weeks and are up an average of $42 over last year.
New York is also getting in on the party. Yellows shipping from here are up $3.50 in two weeks.
