Onion Shipping Point Prices For March 18, 2024
Though demand is only moderate, all shipping point prices remain high and mostly unchanged. Only New York reports “good” demand.
Mexican onions crossing through South Texas have ramped up. In our last report, the only variety crossing the border were yellow granos, marked as sweet. There are now a full complement of Mexican onions with prices, as expected, way over last year.
Though still at historically high prices, whites in Columbia Basin, Washington & Umatilla Basin, Oregon tumbled by $12.50.
