Onion Shipping Point Prices For Sept. 3, 2024
Southern New Mexico and Walla Walla, Wash. have run out of onions, leaving just three areas shipping.
Of the three, only Vidalia prices stayed the same in the last two weeks. Idaho & Malheur County, Oregon (Treasure Valley) and Columbia Basin, Wash. and Umatilla Basin, Oregon saw most prices drop in that same timespan.
Whites in the Treasure Valley were the most hard-hit, down $4.50, and in the Columbia Basin, whites are down $1.75 on average since August 19.
