Onion Shipping Point Prices For December 23, 2024
All onion shipping areas have moderate demand with a steady market. Price changes have been minimal since our last report with the exception of PNW whites. In the last two weeks, whites in Columbia Basin, Wash. and Umatilla Basin, Oregon have jumped up $3.50 on average.
But even with that increase, prices pale in comparison to last year. Those same whites are down $12 on average from 2023, and PNW yellows are down $5.33 on average.
The same situation exists in Idaho & Malheur County, Oregon. Whites from this area are down $12.75 on average and yellows are off by an average of $6.75.
