Enlist Your U.S. Senator and House Member to Support a Mexican Onion Bag Fee by April 22

The National Onion Association (NOA) is asking members to contact their Congressional representatives by April 22 to support a bag fee on onions imported from Mexico.

According to NOA, imported onions have placed significant pressure on the domestic market, contributing to lower prices and raising concerns about product quality and safety oversight. A per-bag fee would offset labor and regulatory cost gaps to create a more balanced competitive environment, promote adherence to comparable production and safety standards, and reinforce fair market conditions for U.S. growers.

NOA is asking for assistance in communicating this effort with members of the U.S. House and Senate. To do this:
