Onion Shipping Point Prices For July 20, 2026
When onions from both San Joaquin Valley, Calif. and Southern New Mexico went on sale in late spring of 2026, prices were significantly higher than in 2025. As of July 20, the Californian crop is over $8 higher (averaging all three colors) and New Mexico is up $6.50 from last year.
Prices from these areas have not been this high since 2022.
Sweet onions from Walla Walla, Wash. and Vidalia, Georgia do not fluctuate much and are about the same as last year, and also similar to 2022.
