The 2019 Snake River Weed Research Tour is on June 13 at the Malheur Experiment Station in Ontario, Oregon.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. with coffee and donuts and three re-certification credits are offered for Oregon and Idaho full-tour attendees.
The tour will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 12:15 p.m.
A complementary lunch will be served at the conclusion of the tour.
The tour will feature research studies for weed management in direct-seeded onion, sugar beet, field corn, potato, and wheat. The first stop will be at the yellow nutsedge “field laboratory” along Oregon Highway 201, just after crossing the rail tracks (if headed south to Nyssa from Ontario).
The stop along Highway 201 will feature studies on yellow nutsedge control in onion, sugar beet, and field corn. The tour then proceeds to the experiment station with tour studies on weed control in direct-seeded onion, field corn, potato, and wheat.
This event is open to the public and anyone interested in weed management in the mentioned crops.
