Onion Shipping Point Prices For July 13, 2020
Onion prices have been climbing steadily in the last month or so, but the uptrend has tapered off. That’s the bad news. The good news is that there are no declines on this week’s report.
Vidalia has run out of organic onions, but their sweets went up 50 cents in the last two weeks, and still sit $4.50 above last year.
Except for two varieties, Southern New Mexico onions rose by at least $1 since the last report. They still lag behind last year, however, by over $7 on average.
San Joaquin Valley yellows average just under $7 from 2019, but Walla Walla Sweets are exactly the same.
