Onion Shipping Point Prices for May 11, 2026
Though the bubble in onion prices seen a month ago seems to have burst, prices are still well above what they were at this time last year.
Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas saw the most price volatility over the last two weeks. Since May 27, yellows are down $5.25 on average and whites are down $6.50 on average.
The New York and the South Texas shipping points have run out of onions, but Imperial Valley, California has added two options. California whites are now available for $23 and super colossal yellows are ready, shipping at $17 – $6.50 more than last year.
